Holy Trinity Cathedral in Diveevo

"... The true aim of our Christian life consists in the acquisition of the Holy Spirit of God. As for fasts, and vigils, and prayer, and almsgiving, and every good deed done for Christ's sake, they are only means of acquiring the Holy Spirit of God. But mark, my son, only the good deed done for Christ's sake brings us the fruits of the Holy Spirit..."

Life of our parish

In December 2009 St. Seraphim's Mission acquired a building for the future church.  During the following half a year period the clean-up and restoration works were conducted with the help of volunteers and by now the first stage of the planned works is completed.  Now we are preparing the realization of the second stage of the works beginning of the construction and making the building livable that would allow the third stage sanctification of the building and turning it into the Church Temple and starting there regular Divine Services, open the church Sunday School, Russian Orthodox Cultural Center, and the apartments for priest.  For performing those works big monetary investments as well as help with labor from all volunteers on the building site is needed.  Information about the completed works, as well as the planes for the next stage for the next half-year period you can find here.....

In Rus from the depth of times the Temples were built by the whole 'Mir' the whole local society.  That was the repentance sacrifice for God.  Traditionally the special form of the charity was 'donation for the brick'.  You can help the St. Seraphim's Church Temple and the Russian Orthodox Center, and buy a 'Certificate for the Personal Brick'.  Every name from the certificate you bought will be transferred to the separate plague and will be placed on a special poster.  Minimal donation for the brick is $30.

Significant donations, if it will be desired, also will be documented in the special COMMEMORATION BOOKS:

1. TEMPLE BOOK in this book the names of all donors and helpers, who contributed small or big to the Church Temple reconstruction and modernization.  All those names will be read on the Temple Feast Days (Patron Saint Days) 19th of July / 1st of August, and 2/15 of January.

2. CELEBRATIONS BOOK in this book the names of founders, benefactors, donors of the Temple, who made a significant contribution into the works of restoration and beautification of the St. Seraphim's Church, and also the names of those, who's names will be listed as benefactors of such contributions, more then $300 (or of equivalent labor of appropriately estimated value according to the Church Council decision) per name.  Special commemoration on the Great Feast or Sunday Liturgy during Proscomidia will be done for those names.
